The film adheres to Chinese American Suzie who draws on her family's social customs to enliven an old-fashioned Christmas baking competition. Suzie, a climbing young designer, returns to her little hometown in Maine for Xmas where her Chinese American family members runs the regional Lobster Bar. Complying with the loss of her precious grandma who was a distinguished baker in their area, Suzie is guilted into adhering to in her grandma's footsteps bei going into the regional gingerbread residence competition. Joining an old secondary school friend Billy, who grew up to be catch, Suzie should locate the ideal dishes and also mix of sugar and spice to win the competition and perhaps discover some love in the process.
