While observing with her friends in her new professionally leased flat (with balcony and view of the sea) on the thirteenth floor of a structure, the young Sayaka unexpectedly jumps off the balcony perpetrating suicide. Her mother goes insane and her elderly sister, Mariko, decides to investigate her sister's mysterious death. She finds there has been suicides of young women living in flat 1303. She finds out the facts and finds that a book telling the narrative of the Yukiyo the tenants of this flat, along with also her mother.
