The Libner brothers are here: When it comes to the military, Marvin (Daniel Stern) is a sergeant. Middle child Buddy (Arye Gross) is a dreamer with a fear of being judged. Bobby (Patrick Dempsey), the youngest, is a gorgeous, rebellious student at a reformatory. It's ironic because they used to fight a lot as kids and now barely talk to each other. To help their mother Betty (Rita Taggart) move from Detroit to Miami, Fred (Alan Arkin) assigns them the difficult chore of transporting a 1954 Cadillac during the summer of 1963. Aside from the fights, the three brothers also begin to reconcile with each other as the trip progresses.
