The contestants compete to generate the perfect clothes and therefore are confined over time, materials and theme. Their layouts have been all judged, weekly, and one or more performers have been eliminated. On May 11, 2012, NBC revived Fashion Star for another season. Season 2 premiered Friday, March 8, 2013. After two seasons, NBC canceled Fashion Star on July 27, 2013.
