George of the Jungle is a show on the CBC that follows a young orphan named George. It's a reimagining of the original 1967 cartoon series in Adobe Flash. On Cartoon Network, it premiered alongside the Christmas special in the United States earlier this year. The Disney Channel broadcasts it in the region. The remake is nearly identical to the original, but there are a few important differences. Two episodes of 11 minutes each are the norm for each episode of the show. Other cartoon characters, such as Tom Slick and Super Chicken, did not appear in this version. From June29, 2007 until January11,2008, the show aired its first season. A second season is scheduled to begin production in 2014 and run till 2014.
