GUNDA is experiential cinema in its purest form, masterfully intimately tracing the lives of a mother pig, a flock of chickens, and a herd of cows. Victor Kossakowsky, a master filmmaker, invites the audience to slow down and experience life as his subjects do, viewing it with a magical patience and an otherworldly perspective. He accomplishes this using stark, transcendent black and white cinematography and the ambient soundtrack from the farm.
