Kampfer is a light novel series written by Toshihiko Tsukiji and illustrated by Senmu. The series consists of fifteen volumes released by Media Factory between November 2006 and March 2010 under the label MF Bunko J. The main series consists of 12 volumes, while the remaining three are collections of short stories. The serialization of a manga adaptation by Yu Tachibana began in the April 2008 edition of Monthly Comic Live. A 12-episode anime adaptation aired in Japan on TBS between October 2009 and December2009, concluding with Kampfer für die Liebe in the spring of 2011. The series utilizes the German language extensively.
