The death of King Henry VIII yells his kingdom into chaos because of succession disputes. His weak boy Edward, is on his death bed. Anxious to keep England true into the Reformation, a scheming minister John Dudley marries his son, Guildford into Lady Jane Grey, whom he puts to the throne after Edward dies off. At first hostile to one another, Guildford and Jane fall in love. However, it is impossible for them to resist power's plan that can cause their final downfall.
