Andrew, a young African-American man on the cusp of adulthood, longs to discover his place in society as a young African-American in contemporary America. Andrew is forced to take on increasing amounts of family duty as his mother seeks something more meaningful in her life than parenting. As he searches for a way to reconnect with his father, he finds himself at a terrible crossroads.
