Overview:
Simon Nye developed and wrote the British sitcom Men Behaving Badly. It follows Gary Strang and his flatmates Dermot Povey and Tony Smart through their daily lives. It first aired on ITV in 1992. Six series were produced, as well as a Christmas special and three final episodes that comprised the feature-length "last orders." The series was shot in and around Ealing, west London, with the closing scene of season six taking place at the Cerne Abbas gigantic. The setting, on the other hand, is suggested to be South London, and there are numerous references to Surrey. Hartswood Films produced it, while Thames Television co-produced the first two seasons for ITV. They also helped with the creation of the third and subsequent series, which aired on the BBC. Men Behaving Badly became extremely popular after it was shifted to a post-watershed time on BBC1. During the BBC's 60th anniversary celebrations in1996, it was chosen the best sitcom in the company's history. It also came in sixteenth place in a BBC2 poll titled "Britain's Best Sitcom" in 2004. It's also the first National Television Award for Situation Comedy, as well as the best ITV comedy at the Comedy Awards.
