In 1988, Chilean military dictator Augusto Pinochet, because of international pressure, is forced to contact a plebiscite in his presidency. The country may vote'Yes' or'No' into Pinochet extending his rule for the following eight decades. Opposition leaders to its'No' vote persuade Rene Saavedra, a brash young advertising executive, to spearhead their effort. Against all odds, while under scrutiny and with scant resources by the despot's minions, Saavedra and his team invent an audacious want set Chile free and to win the election.
