Laura Collins (Shannen Doherty), single mom to daughter Sarah (Matreya Scarrwener), has already established a heritage of rocky connections, when Sarah begins dating the popular and charismatic Rob Tennison (Callan Potter), Laura is thrilled by everything she sees. Nevertheless, when it becomes increasingly clear that Rob has a possessive negative, Laura lives in a state of denial about her son's relationship until Sarah goes lost. Laura must discover the will to fight justice for Sarah when an instance against Rob has been brought to trial and presided over by a powerful judge (Mira Sorvino).
