Pil is a tiny gypsy girl who lives on the streets of the medieval city of Roc-en-Brume with her three tamed weasels. She is known as a vagrant. She eats food that was taken from the palace of the evil Regent Tristain in order to stay alive. One day, as she is trying to get away from his guards, Pil dresses herself as a princess. As a result, she sets out on a crazy, delirious journey alongside Crobar, a large and clumsy guard who believes she is a noble, and Rigolin, a youthful and bumbling jester. Together, they are accompanied by Rigolin. Roland, the true heir to the throne who is currently under the influence of a curse, will need to be rescued by Pil. This experience will demonstrate to Pil that nobility resides in each and every one of us, and it will also turn the entire kingdom on its head.
