Rose and Maloney is a British crime drama starring Sarah Lancashire and Phil Davis as Rose Linden and Maloney, two investigators for the fictitious Criminal Justice Review Agency. This agency investigates claims of miscarriages of justice and determines whether there are grounds to reopen closed cases. Rose is brilliant, but she is also stubborn and sometimes reckless. She prefers to trust her instincts and play hunches, and she frequently clashes with authority. Maloney, despite being Rose's superior, frequently lets himself be led by his more passionate colleague. Maloney is a straight-laced, grey man. Working with Rose is dangerous but addictively exciting for him. On September 29, 2002, an ITV pilot aired for the first time. In July 2005, three more stories were published. Many actors and actresses appeared in the series, including Tara Fitzgerald, Danny Dyer, Tiana Benjamin, Andrew-Lee Potts, and Neil Dudgeon, to name a few.
