Out-going Sydney is inspite of the goodhearted efforts of her protective father. Max does everything he could to rein her in and maintain his little girl, as Sydney tries to spread her wings and create more decisions for himself. However, in that way, his mother, Judy, is reminded of their antics at the era of Sydney, and the parallels -- illustrated by flash back sequences that were comical starring a young Max -- are both amusing and enlightening.
