Cassie Nightingale (Bell) has only a few days to plan her stepson Brandon's (Knight) wedding to Tara (Leggat) when the happy couple unexpectedly moves up the date of their big day. Meanwhile, Martha (Disher), Middleton's newly elected mayor, has persuaded her to chair a silent auction to raise much-needed funds for her favorite project, the Middleton Botanical Gardens. Audrey (Wilson), a newcomer to town, walks into Cassie's store Bell, Book & Candle and the two immediately connect. Cassie hires Audrey as her new store associate right away because she needs help in the store, and she even pitches in and helps Cassie organize the auction. Audrey, on the other hand, is hiding a dark past, and suspicions begin to swirl around her when the donated auction items go missing. Cassie hopes to conjure up the truth before it's too late by using her "special" powers, as well as some teamwork from the Mayor and Jake (Potter), her husband and local Chief of Police.
