Turu, the Wacky Hen, written in the style of a love song to differences, tells the narrative of a creature who becomes the target of derision for the rest of the henhouse due to her peculiar appearance. Isabel, an ex-music teacher who chooses her for her uniqueness, is unafraid of her wiry legs and featherless back. Turuleca does not lay eggs because she possesses another hidden talent: she communicates, sings, and dances with abandon. Turu, the Wacky Hen is a full-color, animated party that encourages us to move our bodies to the music, forcing us to sing phrases that have the capacity to transform us back into children, if only for a brief while.
